Taking a journey..... to Hamburg, Germany

Today I want to share my latest travel experiences with you. I´ve been to Hamburg with friends two weeks ago, exploring the city, walking mile after mile (I still hear the complaints, but hey - I have a dog, I´m simply used to walking A LOT), visiting the beautiful Disney musical Tarzan, spending a bunch of money to visit the restaurant of a around here famous TV cook and last but not least: we climbed the "Michel", a church tower you can walk up if you don´t mind that it´s 453 steps up there.

May I introduce the one and only king of my heart?
This is Leo, my 6-year-old Labrador Retriever. Loyal companion, playful like he never left the age of a puppy, pertinacious beggar for cookies and other treats, snoring couch-potatoe and proud defender of our plot of land.

Life´s a journey // first entry

Hello to all visitors and readers!

We have stories to tell, stories that provide wisdom about the journey of life. What more have we to give one another than our 'truth' about our human adventure as honestly and as openly as we know how?  - Rabbi Saul Rubin-

 If someone would ask me why I opened this blog, I certainly couldn´t give an appropriate answer. It was just a decision by heart. I split with my boyfriend for years (actually on our anniversary day) last week and although I have seen the signs I felt like my world just caved in.
On the other side if I am honest to myself, I missed that simply heart-opening easiness of love for a long time. It was more like an endless coping with problems, varying views and ideas of our future life, which was really exhausting over the past months. And even so, there is this tiny little thought in my head, that all that we would have needed was just inside us, we just couldn´t screw it out of ourselves. And if we would have succeeded, maybe this was the perfect match. 

Anyway, in this past days I read two blogs (which I want to introduce to you at some point), which gave me hours of reading beautiful posts, ideas for new pastry and - most notably - the sense, that there is the perfect match for everyone. 

I guess it will take some time till I´m ready to start searching for my perfect match, but meanwhile I have a lot of time to do all the things that are on this never-ending to-do-list´s of mine :) There are so many little gifts in life each day and I want to share this journey of searching and finding them with you!

Who´s that girl?

The outside:
I´m Bridget, a mid-20 lawyer from beautiful Bavaria. Sister. Daughter. Dog owner. Postgraduate student of tax law. Webdesigner. Mystery Shopper. Former devilish cocktail mixing barkeeper and waitress.

The inside:
My heart´s a lonely fighter, I never give up easily. I love to make a neverending amount of to-do-lists and plans in my mind. I can spend whole days cooking and baking if no one forces me to do.

What I love:
books, my dog Leo, scarfs, chatting with friends, travelling, dancing, chai latte, sushi, lazy weekends, busy weekends, photography, watching movies and series, nail lacquer, quotes, high heels

What I dislike:
unpunctuality, resentful people, feeling insecure, leggings/jeggings/treggins, too many popping colors at once



This blog is about my life´s journey, the lessons I´ve learned, the joys and heartaches that changed me, the special moments that led and will lead me to my destiny. As on any travel the road is not always smooth and there are many challenges in each life that test your courage, your faith, your strengths and your weaknesses. But no matter how hard the challenges are: Life goes on. It depends on you how you create it.

I believe that it´s destiny to meet certain people on my journey. Some will only stay with us for a short time, some may stay for a lifetime. Everybody comes for a reason, although we might not realize it at that time. They will make a difference in our lifes and change it in a way, we couldn´t have imagined. And sometimes, when we are lucky we will meet that one special person who will stay with us and in our heart forever no matter what.

This blog is my creative outlet to document how my life is going on. A place to keep memories as they are priceless treasures on the journey ahead. A playground for everything that just comes up to my mind. A chest to give my thoughts and wishes to.
